Mercato Trionfale is one of Rome's biggest food markets and a very practical stop if you like seeing how the city shops. The market has a slightly denser, more workaday feel than some tourist-facing areas, with stalls for produce, fish, cheese, meat, and kitchen basics. It is especially useful before or after the Vatican Museums because it is close enough for an easy detour but still feels like a neighborhood market. You do not need to spend long here; the value is in the range of stalls and the sense of local routine.
